Frequently Asked Questions
How long is a retainer commitment?
Retainer terms run for 6, 12, 24, or 36 months depending on the type of engagement and the volume of work required. The term is agreed before the first cycle begins.
How is work delivered?
Work runs in structured sprints or cycles. Each cycle has a defined scope set at the start, adjusted as priorities change. The output is reviewed at the end of each cycle before the next one begins.
What is included in a retainer?
That depends on the retainer type. Design retainers cover graphic output. Development retainers cover engineering and architecture. Support retainers cover ongoing client-facing assistance. Maintenance retainers cover platform-specific recurring tasks. Each is scoped separately at the start of the engagement.
How does payment work?
Payment is made on monthly cycle for the duration of the agreed term. There is no full upfront payment for the entire period, the only upfront payment made is the first month and last month of the retainer.
Can the scope change during the engagement?
The scope for each cycle can be adjusted based on evolving priorities. The overall retainer type and term remain fixed for the agreed period.
What happens at the end of the term?
At the end of the term, the engagement can be renewed, adjusted to a different retainer type, or closed. There is no automatic renewal without agreement.
